Dreaded Gypsy Soul 🌻

Dreaded gypsy soul

She loads up her truck with a few bags of clothes, her bible, a dog and a dream. She backs up to her horse trailer and loads her horses in the trailer.  18 years old, with shaky hands and a lot of faith, she hits the road and heads onto her next life adventure.

She can't settle down, Lord knows she has tried.  A couple horses and a dog to keep her company, she knows better than to let people close to her heart.  She lost all that she loved once so she took a risk, and left that sleepy little town.

900 miles away from where she was born, she tries to start over.  She takes odd jobs, she lives in many places, and she doesn't know how to calmly settle down.  She finds a place to maybe call home, and suddenly something happens changing her mind. 14 moves later, through three states, she finds a town and she sticks to it for a while.

She's learned more than one can know from all her different jobs and the people she has been around.  She has changed enough to be someone totally new about 10 times over, and she has found an inner strength she never knew she had.  She's learned to handle everything from death to the pressures of large rodeos.  She can smile under the hardest circumstances but cries when she's alone driving down that road chasing those white lines and gold buckle dreams.

With a broken heart and a pretty smile, she has learned to float through life, trusting God with all her soul.  During the day she does day work for ranches, learning all about the cattle and horse business from many different perspectives, and at night she curls her hair, throws on some clean Wranglers and turns into a rodeo woman.

That gypsy soul inside her has caused her to be called a heartbreaker.  Any man that has come across her path never could live up to what she needed in her life.  She has tried everything to find that kind of love she wants, but all she finds is Cowboy Casaonvas that she hurts in the process.  She never wrecks a good man, knowing better than to play one that could love someone someday.  Those bad rodeo boys know her name and her game though. She will dance into your heart and run at the end of the night, leaving their hearts shattered in the dust she leaves behind her rig.

She never thought she would be who she has become, but she still has a good heart, it's just been played a little too much to let people see the true story.
The truth of it all is, she loved too hard, trusted too much and gave too easy.  She figures that if she keeps running, someday she won't have the pain she feels inside.
Then one day something changed.

She couldn't run anymore.  Her heart wouldn't let her.  She tried, she panicked, she wanted to scream.  Her best friends and her load up to go dancing in the city, hoping to change how she feels.  Her gypsy soul craving something new and exciting, and then she met him.  A blue eyed cowboy in Oklahoma City, in the best shaped hat she had seen in a while.

Well that cowboy saved her, more than he may ever know.  He stepped up and swept her off her feet with sarcasm and a heart of gold.  A few dances later full of conversation, turns out he was from a town over from hers and he was everything she had been looking for all along.
She fell hard and fast for him, spending every chance she could with him.  She started to get scared, wanting to flee again, wanting to leave, and never look back.  How could someone like her, want to settle down?  Is that even possible she wondered..

But she couldn't, and honestly she wouldn't leave.  He supports her stubborn gypsy streak, only because he understands it more than anyone.  He may fade away someday, but that's in God's hands.
Now she still is chasing those dreams, but from a ranch in Oklahoma as her home base, with a good support system and some amazing friends.  She still is labled a gypsy soul, but it's only because it's true.  She strives to help and inspire others, never wanting anyone to give up, against all the odds.  All the pain she has felt, she turned it into something postive and she cannot thank the people and situations who caused all the pain and struggles enough. For all that struggle, made her  who she is and who she is becoming.  She hugs her horses and smiles, knowing she is going to always be a bit of a gypsy, even if she has found her home.

She leaves a trail of gold glitter wherever she goes, with a smile that'll haunt you and inspire you in the same moment, that's just the way God made the Gypsy Soul..
